Fishing:
| Rockaway sets on the
Lake front of Taneycomo. Taneycomo is one of the best fishing
lakes in southwest Missouri.
Due to the temperature of Lake Taneycomo trout is stocked from
the table rock fish hatchery year around. The state record brown trout was recently
caught in Lake Taneycomo. Rockaway Beach is the ideal spot to put a boat in Lake Taneycomo. The traffic is
minimal and the water is calm. Taneycomo Lake also a great bass fishing lake especially around
the Rockaway Beach area. In the Rockaway Beach area, Bull Creek pours into lake Taneycomo and
bass are often caught in the mouth of Bull Creek. Don't
have a boat, that's not a problem in Rockaway beach
because of its public island and dock it is easy to bring a lawn chair and have a great spot to fish. After fishing,
there is always someone around wanting to hear about the big catch!! Check out the local fishing tournaments as

walk along the lake in the evening or a morning run as
