Mountain Man Rendezvous Arrives in Rockaway Beach, Missouri Once Again

                       Many this weekend took one look at the forecast and started to think about what the weekend plans might entail.  For many of you the rain might have dampened your plans, but for Rockaway Beach Mountain Man Rendezvous everything is on as planned.  Many brave men and women have not let the forecast stop their get together at the annual Mountain Man Rendezvous in Rockaway Beach, Missouri.  This years events make this rendezvous one of the best in history.  Rockaway Beach Chamber director Bill Kitchen has spent much time preparing for this year.  Some of the events to watch for this year is a black powder shoot, hatchet throwing and anvil shoot.  All three of these events look to be new additions to this years rendezvous.
      Saturday is sure to be a day you don't want to miss out on.  At 11:00 and 3:00 rendezvous goers can see a 100lb anvil fly 200 feet in the air.  This is sure to bring some excitement to the event.  Rockaway Beach Chamber of Commerce has brought in a professional anvil shooter to excite the crowd.  This is sure to be something you will not want to miss out on.
      If you haven't decided what to do this weekend or if you have maybe you should change your plans, because the Mountain Man Rendezvous is the place to be.  The tents are set up and the fellowship has began.  This is a great place for you to experience times of the past first hand.  Don't miss out this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  The Mountain Man Rendezvous is located just off hwy 176 at Empire park in Rockaway Beach, Missouri.
